Mrs Emily originally from Belgium is an artist and the oldest inhabitant of the Wielewaal area. At the age of 97 she is an active member of the community and she gives free painting classes at the Slinge church once per week.Her portrait is the Walgenbach Art and Books bookstore.

Humfry is the bus driver through Charlois and a volunteer in the local sports club rvv coal in Zuiderpark where he often organizes afternoons with live Surinamese music.
