The Body Memory workshop seeks to explore the relationships between our bodies and the memories they carry, as well as how these embodied experiences might influence our perceptions, emotions, and interactions. Through movement improvisation, partnering and dialogue we will look into how memories stored in the body are not static but continually shape our lived experiences as they interact with new circumstances and sensations.

The workshop will take place at The Hub in Arnhem on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 19 to 20, lasting one hour. A limited number of places are available.

Fee: €10 / and €7 for students.

F**d Alijani is a transmedia artist interested in the interplay between memory and space through imagination and prospection. His research-oriented, process-based practice reveals itself through maps, static and moving images, and what he terms contraption-installations. Since 2018, he has been progressing his curatorial initiative, Paadmaan projects, which explores the alternative paths and the practice of art within the ever-changing conditions of life.

Paadmaan Projects

Paadmaan (meaning ‘safeguard’ in Farsi) is an independent artist-run platform for contemporary art with an interdisciplinary approach established in 2018, based in Tehran. Through a variety of curatorial programming, Paadmaan seeks to expand on existing discourses surrounding contemporary art within various Iranian communities and supporting their input, transforming into output.

Paadmaan aims to proceed networking locally and internationally and improve the collective in the contemporary art scene by focusing on research, dialogue and presentation. Paadmaan promotes these by organizing exhibitions, events, artist residencies, lectures, screenings, publications and various interactions throughout Iran and abroad.
