𝓣𝓸 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓼 🌻The first song we sang together as MAUVE ♡ This song feels so calming and healing to sing! We love to start our rehearsals with a little piece of this song to get in the blend of our voices and enjoy the moment. It's called 'To The Mountains' by Lizzy McAlpine. ~ Maybe one day we can sing it while we're actually going to mountains. ⛰🌼

This is Leonie (aka Leo)! With her warm, velvet-like, and round mid-register voice, she makes sure to blend all three voices together 🧚‍♂️

This year she is focussing on graduating from Codarts, Rotterdam and working with some producers to write and record songs. With her interest in multiple genres, she is always down to experiment but leans most towards hip-hop, neo-soul and Indie-pop.

Her all-time favorite singer is without a doubt: Nai Palm from Hiatus Kaiyote, but she is influenced by many like Erykah Badu, Isaiah Rashad and Cleo Soul 🦋

Fun fact: She loves to rave on house/techno music and is slowly learning how to DJ her own sets! 🎧
After graduating she will finally buy a camper van to live, travel and practice yoga & meditation in ⛺ 🚌 🧘‍♀️

This is Teja! The one with the gorgeous high-register voice that has a fresh and bright colour. She pretends to be our flute from time to time 😇

This year she will be graduating from Codarts in Rotterdam and she loves to compose her own songs, work on arrangements and lead her own band-project. Besides this, she is interested in the healing power of music and is figuring out how to connect meditation to music 😌

She finds inspiration in modern jazz artists like Avishai Cohen and Esperanza Spalding. Singer-songwriters like Yebba and Gregory Alan Isakov also inspire her greatly!

Fun fact: Teja absolutely loves nature, long walks, practicing meditation and aspires to travel! 🌎🧘🌼

This is Sophie (aka Soph)! She has a beautiful low register voice and can definitely ace those high notes too 😉

She graduated last year from Codarts, Rotterdam, and is now working on musical projects (check her own page on Instagram). With her affinity for R&B and Neo-Soul, she loves to arrange and creates awesome arrangements for MAUVE 😇

Lianne La Havas, Lalah Hathaway and Yebba are a few examples of great singers that inspire her!

Little fun fact: Next to musical ambitions, she wants to sail around the world one day 🤩💜⛵

📢DEZE WOENSDAG vanaf 20.00 uur in : MAUVE! ✨

MAUVE is een vocaal trio, dat een mix van originele muziek en covers zingt, door henzelf gearrangeerd. Begeleid door gitarist Noah Stakenborg spelen ze arrangementen van pop-, soul- en jazzsongs voor een intieme setting. De zangeressen studeerden aan het Conservatorium van Rotterdam en laten zich inspireren door artiesten als Yebba, Lizzy McAlpine en Emily King.
