He took me to the MoMA, where we stood together in front of the original 'Starry Night' by Van Gogh. I can still feel the awe. He bought me a poster of that masterpieceโa gift I cherished and kept for over 30 years.
When I started my journey as a Sustainable Creative, that very poster became the foundation for my first-ever piece of recycled art. I wanted to turn that old memory into a new mission: giving waste a second life. ๐๐จ
Using thousands of discarded caps and screws, I 'rebuilt' the stars that my father first showed me. I know he would have loved to see how his gift from New York eventually turned into a message of sustainability and hope. ๐๐
This piece is more than art; itโs a tribute to him and a reminder that inspiration can travel across decades.
Have you ever kept a childhood gift that still inspires you today? Iโd love to hear your story in the comments. ๐
