Some years ago I started using Ouja's in the garden to give drought sensitive plants an extra water source to get them through the hot season.
I bury them close to those plants that can do with some extra help directly at their roots in the soil, so I don't waste water and -also a very nice side effect- I save TIME.
Huge yes to that đđģ
đ Read to the end to find the link to the Reel about Ouja's in Summer. It's a gamechanger!
Before Autumn gets really cold I take them out of the ground, brush them off, dry them and store them. But they do take up a lot of space, so I have now buried them in a thick blanket of dried leaves đ in one of the raised cold frames (it being off the ground is the important part during frosty times!)
Do make sure that your Ouja's don't touch eachother and are DRY. Also, I keep the cork cap indoors to prevent rodents from damaging them.
Ones I am certain that the leaves and the Ouja's re indeed all dried up I close the lid of the cold frame.
And if Winter is going a bit rogue I will add a good layer of garden fleece for extra protection. đĒž âī¸
See you in Spring! đ
