Vanochtend tijdens mijn netwerk meeting met was de vraag “wat was een hoogtepunt voor je bedrijf deze week?” Het is overal een hele mooie week geweest voor mijn bedrijf maar de highlight is toch altijd tevreden ouders zoals de ouders van dit lieve mannetje! De fotoshoot was vorige week voor het geboortekaartje en hij was hier 8 dagen oud en was nog zo klein! We hebben thuis in zijn kamertje de foto’s genomen en ik ben zo dankbaar voor het vertrouwen!

I was asked this morning during my network meeting “what the highlight of the week was for my business?”. While overal it was a very good week for my business, the highlight is always happy parents like the parents of this little guy! The photo session was an in-home session last week for the birth announcements. He was 8 days old here and still so little. I am so grateful for the trust given to me during these newborn sessions 🙏.

I was able to attend the first day of the this past Monday. They spoke a language of connection, honesty, realness, intuition & genuineness and I loved every single minute of this gathering. A few weeks before this gathering I heard speak on Clubhouse about her documentary photography and listening to her had such an impact on me. I feel like listening to her & the conversations in that clubhouse room, gave me permission to embrace my strength in photography, the documenting, the observing, interpreting & capturing instead of posing. It made me realize that this documentary & photojournalistic approach is also what I loved so much about photographing weddings & the real & natural moments are also the ones I love the most in photographing families & little ones. I now find myself in a new spot again with my photography, I feel so strongly about it and want to make a full transition into documentary style photography for families, organizations & non-profits. I feel deep down this is my photography language and that combined with who I am as a person, this is how I will be able to best serve my clients. So thank you for that clubhouse chat & thank you for organizing a conference that truly spoke right to my heart. I am excited about what’s ahead. (Pre-covid photo)

Zo bijzonder, elk moment voelt onvervangbaar. Dat ik deze intieme momenten vast mag leggen is voor mij echt een eer 🙏.

It is always a very special honor when a fellow photographer asks you to take their portraits! I met Rosie from .photography online through our mutual love of analog photography which she also uses in her work! She is the loveliest person & talented photographer. I was delighted to get the opportunity to partner with her for her maternity portraits 🙏. We had the shoot at the studio in Oegstgeest which is filled with natural light and it really was the perfect setting for what we had in mind. Hello! I already shared on instagram but not everyone is on instagram so I wanted to share it here as well 😃. I delivered a baby yesterday 👶! A brand new website with new features & pages! She’s still a newborn so definitely some newborn wrinkles here and there and some “coming soon” pages but I’m so excited with the new look.! It is always a special honor when a fellow photographer asks you to take their portraits! I met the lovely and oh so talented Alexandra from several years ago at a wedding industry conference here in the Netherlands. She is not only a super talented photographer, she is also the nicest person! I was still living in California when we met and when I moved back to the Netherlands she was so supportive of me & helping me find my way in this new European Photography market, answering so many questions with patience & good advice 🙏. I was of course delighted to be able to partner with her for her portraits. We went to the most amazing location in Zuidermeer . The space is filled with natural light and it was the perfect setting for Alexandra’s portraits. Alexandra carefully curated her wardrobe for the shoot and had her hair & make up done by the talented Marianne from .
