Kun je me helpen met een titel?! 🤗

Deze aquarel haas in een graanveld krijgt komende zaterdag zijn debuut op de lokale kunstroute. Hij is dan voor het eerst te koop. Een paar weken geleden vroeg ik jullie om me te helpen kiezen tussen een lichte en een donkere houten lijst. Deze lijst won.

👉 Nu rest er nog één laatste beslissing: de titel!

De andere schilderijen in deze serie hebben korte poëtische titels zoals Geruisloos, Vertrouwen, Alert en Terugkeer. Ik wil graag dat het daar bij past.

Welk woord komt er in je op als je naar deze haas kijkt, met zijn neusje omhoog?
Ik hoor graag jullie suggesties... 🤗

"You're basically painting the ideal world." That's what a visitor said that to me at my last exhibition. Then she added:
"And I think that's what we ALL need right now." 🌱
She was sitting back in a chair, relaxed, daydreaming, taking in the paintings from a distance. It's one of the most meaningful responses I've ever received. 🥰🎨

Here's a little secret: a barn owl is white, yet I didn't use any white paint at all. 🎨

And another secret: You don't always need an original painting to bring art and atmosphere into your home!

This framed owl postcard proves that even a small print of artwork can make a big difference. The soft colours, double mat for extra depth, and elegant frame give it the presence of a larger piece, don't you think?

A beautiful option if you love art and atmosphere in your home, but don't want to invest in an original painting (right now). Or if you enjoy changing things around more often, and therefore prefer a smaller budget. 💰

New in my postcard collection! I had to order a new batch of postcards because they’ve been selling so well at my exhibition in Den Nul. So I chose to add this watercolor owl and watercolor hare.

Would you send one to someone?
Or keep it for yourself, pasted on the fridge, or use as a bookmark in your favourite book?

There's only a very small amount available, because I first wanted to see how they would look as postcards... They’re not in my Etsy shop, but you can order them through DM, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp. 🎨

I had to order a new batch of postcards because they’ve been selling so well at my exhibition in Den Nul. So I decided to add a few new designs too! Including these chattering flying beauties... my watercolor swallows.

Although I am a big dog lover, I had never painted one. Never 😯. And that actually made me dread trying it for the first time.... Here is my first attempt, even in watercolor (which is a lot less forgiving than acrylic paint).

Strangely enough, I find it harder to paint a dog, an animal I've seen every day my whole life, than wild 'anonymous' animals.
Thoughts about this??
