“Here we stand. As daughters in a long line of grandmothers and mothers.”
As we read Susan Smit’s new book, , we fall silent. Everything we have been discussing, experiencing and trying to translate into performance for the past few weeks is right there in black and white.
This story wants telling and the time is now.
Thank you Susan Smit for the chrystal clarity of your words.
If the experience we’re creating with resonates even half as much, we can be very grateful.

“Since day one, I felt like this project had chosen me rather than me choosing it. The connection I have with HAG links to my growth as woman from a conservative and oppressive community and the overcome of traumas and unsettlements with myself.” CT&Co performer Jinissa Meggi says about HAG.
“Within this project, I have the space to make my voice to be heard, not just as a creative but as person and woman - the connection of HAG to the core of human nature is just extraordinary.”

“My 3-year-old daughter already learns that witches are scary and mean. But I adore her, the Witch. Grandmother Willow, Eucalypta, Kali, Baba Yaga. I admire that woman because she never apologizes for who she is." maker Cézanne Tegelberg says about the new work of CT&Co, HAG.
"Perhaps being a witch is nothing more than a willingness to listen without judgment with all six of your senses. And then shamelessly being yourself. With this performance I want to free the Witch - the Witch in me, the Witch in my daughter, the Witch in the audience.”
For two days, the CT&Co performers worked together with the choreographer Peewee Levick.
“A group of inspiring people who are so open to listening, trying, and ‘DOING’. It was a wonderful opportunity to help them with the beautiful piece, HAG. I can only hope that they have been sparked by my ideas.”
Thank you Peewee for these very inspirational two days!

“I would describe HAG as a personal, cultural and historical exploration of womanhood, s*x, and s*xuality. But it's also about embracing who you are, loving and having confidence in yourself, and rejecting stereotypes and western norms.
HAG has presented me with many questions. I hope it does the same for the audience. It doesn't matter if the questions are not answered, it's more important that they are being asked and thought about.
I have had my difficulties and have been made to feel that I am somehow very different. I have never felt like I have quite fitted in. However, at the age of 50, things are slowly shifting, but it's because of these kind of discussions and the idea of being part of a collective. It is very liberating. I have started to see that I am not alone, both as a person and in my experiences. I don't have to be ashamed of myself, of who I am, or my feelings.”
