Common Senses is an 18 months project funded by the Erasmus + program. The overall aim of the project is to improve the quality of youth work through increasing the competence of people working with youth using methods based on creativity and expression: body movement, theater, drawing, music and other art forms to stimulate self-reflection and development which leads to increased communications a

nd social abilities. We believe that with these tools we can
- connect with ourselves in a broader and richer way
- which leads to an improved connection with others
- supports us to connect with others’ social and personal matters. With the knowledge we gain we can improve the quality of our relationships in our personal and professional lives as well. That is why we find the methodology useful and effective in youth work. The professionals may find inspirations, resources for their work using this approach and the youngsters benefit from the approach, that enables participation, connection and development in a way which deals with their issues in a form that suits them the most. The project is run by the VertLife Group based in Groningen, The Netherlands. Partner organisations in the project are:
