Koffiefabriek nieuws...

Koffieconnaisseurs kennen dit plekje maar al te goed: de Koffiefabriek aan de Nieuwe Markt. Na ruim 11 jaar dragen eigenaren Jaco de Vries en Nick Faken op 13 juni het stokje over aan een nieuwe ondernemer. De Koffiefabriek blijft nog even zoals-ie is, maar gaat daarna verder als koffie- én cocktai...

Dear friends,

A hot-off-the-press update from Gouda: the Koffiefabriek has been sold!
A new owner will start a coffee & cocktail bar in the venue, and on 'our' Friday evening the bar will be fully occupied for chique cocktails. Jaco will continue his business as usual in Gouda’s
much-beloved Kruim. But we are sad, because it turns out that Sweet Milonga@the Koffiefabriek as we knew it came to an end with the start of the lockdowns, in the year of our 10th anniversary.

We are currently talking to the new owner, and to Jaco of course, and we are on the look-out in Gouda as well for potential new venues to start up our good old parties again. We miss our sweet milonga and our dancers too much to let go of this joyful concept just yet...

thank you very much for 10 years of continuous trust, your warmest smiles, the closest embraces and the endless, endless fun we had! ❤️

We hope to be back soon with better news.

Dear friends,

Due to personal circumstances @ the Koffiefabriek, the space is not available to re-open our Sweet Milonga again just yet.
We truly miss the event as much as you all do, given the many hopeful questions we lately receive about Sweet Milonga ❤️

Last year would have been our 10-year-anniversary, which we couldn't celebrate because of Covid & Lockdowns. That means we still owe you a super sweet and sparkly party, and we sincerely hope to pick up where we left off 2 years ago asap!
In case of green light, you will be the first to know 😉

In the meantime, we hope to meet you all soon and often at the many beautiful milongas that have restarted in NL (and abroad) by now. Take care and please stay in touch!

We're back in the Koffiefabriek for our occasional coffee... The place looks just lovely, happy to have opened its doors again!
However, it is still too early for a Sweet Milonga: hospitality in NL is bound to close at 10 pm and the floor is so small that we could only have about 12 people in when following covid regulations... We're crossing our fingers for better Tango times in Gouda soon again! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Dear friends,
we would have loved to start with our Sweet Milonga @ the Koffiefabriek again this fall. However, times are quite tough for the hospitality sector in the Netherlands and with Covid numbers rising again, the nearby future also seems quite uncertain...
For that reason, the Koffiefabriek is not (yet) available as a Friday night dancefloor at this point.

That means our pause continues just a little bit longer and we will wait and see what is possible for next month, or in the new year. As soon as we have a *Go*, you all will be the first to know!
Take care of yourself and each other in the meantime and hopefully we will meet soon again on a floor - near or far! ❤️

Dear all, after a year of monthly online streams by our wonderful DJs, we have a Summer Stop for July and August, like every year... 🍹 ☀️ 😎

In September we will decide if we can go back to the floor in the Koffiefabriek again. Crossing all the fingers we have!! In the meantime we wish everybody a lovely, healthy summer with some lovely dancing, if possible! 🎶 ❤️
