Stitching is my safe place. When I stitch I can shut out whatever else is going on in the world and my life. It gives me time and room to sort out my feelings. After an hour of stitching I feel more prepared to tackle what I have to do. What is your safe place?
And once again stop killing the children!
These pieces are all made with Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabric and stitched with Valdani Threads (8wt perlé). Beautiful colours that remind us we do not have to accept the ugly horror of hate and war.

It's the small things that give me hope. People being kind to each other without expecting something in return. Helping because they can. It's what we all should do. And for those who haven't yet gotten the message: people killing children or supporting those killing children, you're on the wrong side of history. It needs to stop!
My current series is all Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabric. Beautiful colours that remind us we do not have to accept the ugly horror of hate and war.

A wonderful opportunity came my way and I am so excited about it. In about six weeks I'll be going to Italy for an artist retreat. A week and a half to work on a new project and spend time with fellow artists. What could possible be better than that? Well, maybe the location? Thank you so much Pippo Cosenza for this chance to stretch my artistic muscles 🤩
Want to know more about where I'm going and who else will be there? Check it out here. It's in Italian but pictures say more than a thousand words, right? Enjoy! I know I will ❤

When the noise of what is happening in the world becomes unbearable and you have to take a break, what do you do? I spend time with friends and family, go for a walk, but mostly, I stitch. I stitch to stay sane, I stitch to get my thoughts in order, I stitch to express my feelings. I stitch and I ask myself how many more children will have to die before we stop this madness. What about you?
My current series is all Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabric. Beautiful colours that remind us we do not have to accept the ugly horror of hate and war.
