🐕 The Tragic Story of Thatch the Dog 🏴‍☠️

After retiring from piracy and settling in England, Edward Kenway adopted an Irish Wolfhound named Thatch.

The dog was named after Edward's closest friend, the legendary pirate Edward "Blackbeard" Thatch, as a tribute to the man who had such a profound impact on his life.

For years, Thatch remained a beloved member of the Kenway family, serving as a constant reminder of Edward's adventures during the Golden Age of Piracy.

Tragically, in 1735, attackers assaulted the Kenway estate in an attempt to assassinate Edward. During the attack, Thatch tried to warn and protect his master, but was killed by the assailants.

It's a small piece of Assassin's Creed lore that many fans overlook, yet it perfectly reflects the loyalty of the dog who carried Blackbeard's name.

💔 Even after Edward's pirate days were over, Thatch remained by his side until the very end.
