Super Local Ontwerpbureau Products and services that make a difference and improves quality of life. Consider us as fixers that get things done wherever we go.

Super Local is a design studio that finds sustainable solutions for social and cultural problems. 90% of the world population doesn’t have the financial capacity for traditional design, but does have a need for well-designed products and insightful solutions. We are passionated problem solvers and find ourselves mostly in non-western countries. Our human centred approach is hands-on and based on collaboration with local communities, organisations and partners. We don’t like the teaching attitude. That’s why we invest in a equal relationship. Solutions are always found in the country itself - by supporting local economy, creating employment and encourage entrepreneurship we provide positive impact. These things are impossible to accomplish without knowing the place. That’s why we love to go there and diving in the subject; Doing extensive research and start creating a positive change. The result ranges from clever designed products, ready-made concepts and implementable services to complete local productions and case studies. Both commissioned as from our own initiative.

Goodbye friends. After 14 years, Super Local is coming to an end.

We started in 2012 with the idea that design could contribute to a more fair and beautiful world. Since then, we’ve been lucky to work on many projects with inspiring people across the world.

Pim left a few years ago to explore new fields in design. Luc is now also stepping away to make more space for family and explore new paths.

We want to thank our project partners, colleagues, interns, family and friends, and everyone who has been part of this journey. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Super Local ends, the friendship stays.

Goodbye friends. After 14 years, Super Local is coming to an end.

We started in 2012 with the idea that design could contribute to a more fair and beautiful world. Since then, we’ve been lucky to work on many projects with inspiring people across the world.

Pim left a few years ago to explore new fields in design. Luc is now also stepping away to make more space for family and explore new paths.

We’ve seen it happen so many times, but it’s still kind of magical 🧙‍♂️ to watch dirty plastic waste get turned into something both beautiful and useful.

Over the years, our partner in Nepal has really stepped up their plastic recycling skills — from shredding and washing to carefully injecting and finishing each piece. Their hard work really shows, and we’re happy to be part of the process with them. ✨

After the success of our “From the Himalayas” project in collaboration with and in Nepal, we’re exited to announce the next chapter! 🙌

Once again, we came together to expand the product collection and introduce fresh new designs – all made from plastic and glass waste!

This time, our focus was to create products for the local Nepalese market 🇳🇵showcasing how discarded waste can be transformed into something valuable and impactful
