IT'S TIME FOR A SABBATICAL...
Wow, what a fantastic year we've had, with beautiful and successful performances across Europe. Last weekend, we had a spectacular show at the Country Music Messe in Erfurt, Germany. Two weeks ago, Music Road Pilots received the Diamond Star Award at the Fair Play Country Music Red Carpet Award Show. A wonderful recognition for all their hard work over the years. This is now the 16th award for Music Road Pilots, in addition to the various individual awards they've received. An old and wise man once said: "You're only as good as others think you are!" And he's right. We've been working hard for 18 years, so we're very happy and honored by all the recognition! In whatever form it takes. But after 18 successful years, it's time for a change.
2026 will be a special year for Music Road Pilots. Besides all the fun and exciting side projects, but also because of all the interesting new developments in country music, we're going back to the drawing board to further refine our plans for the future. So we're taking a break from performances, aka a sabbatical. This allows us to make plans behind the scenes for a fresh start. It also gives our guitarist Albert the opportunity to undergo surgery on his hand and then recover for a few months. But after that, we have exciting things planned, which we'll tell you more about later. First the surgery, then rest, recovery, and then new plans with Music Road Pilots for a fresh continuation of our journey.
The final performance of our 15th European Tour 2025 this year is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22nd at the International Country Festival in Santa Susanna, Spain. So don't miss it!

HET IS TIJD VOOR EEN SABBATICAL...
Wauw, wat een geweldig jaar hebben we gehad met stuk voor stuk mooie en succesvolle optredens door heel Europa. Met afgelopen weekend een spetterende show op de Country Music Messe in Erfurt, Duitsland. Twee weken geleden heeft Music Road Pilots het Diamond Star Award in ontvangst mogen nemen op de Red Carpet Award Show van Fair Play Country Music. Een geweldige waardering voor al het harde werken al die jaren. Inmiddels de 16e award voor Music Road Pilots naast de diverse individueel ontvangen awards. Een oude wijze man zei ooit: ‘Je bent net zo goed als een ander je vindt!’ En hij heeft gelijk. We timmeren al 18 jaren hard aan de weg en dus zijn we erg blij en zeer vereerd met alle waarderingen! In welke vorm dan ook. Maar na 18 succesvolle jaren is het tijd voor verandering.
Het jaar 2026 wordt een speciaal jaar voor Music Road Pilots. Naast alle leuke en mooie nevenprojecten, maar ook vanwege alle interessante nieuwe muzikale ontwikkelingen in de country muziek, gaan wij terug naar de tekentafel om onze plannen voor de toekomst nog beter vorm te geven. We houden dus een rustperiode zonder optredens oftewel een sabbatical. Zodat we achter de schermen onze plannen kunnen maken voor een nieuwe frisse start. En het geeft onze gitarist Albert de gelegenheid om een operatie aan zijn hand te ondergaan om daar vervolgens een paar maanden van te herstellen. Maar daarna staan er mooie dingen op de planning waar wij jullie later meer over vertellen. Eerst de operatie, dan rust, herstellen en vervolgens nieuwe plannen met Music Road Pilots voor een nieuwe frisse voortzetting van onze reis.
Het laatste optreden van ons ‘15th European Tour 2025’ dit jaar staat gepland op woensdag 22 oktober op het Internationale Country Festival in Santa Susanna, Spanje. Mis het dus niet!
