Indie In Town

Indie in Town is een bandavond in Amsterdam, London en Berlijn. Je bent nu op de Nl pagina, hoera. Eerstvolgende feestje is op 10 April, in de Nieuwe Anita.

In de jaren ’60 was er de psychedelische muziek, in de jaren 70 de hardrock, de jaren 80 de metal en jaren 90 de grunge. Indie in Town gelooft dat het tijdperk waar we nu in leven het tijdperk van de ‘indie muziek’ is. Indie muziek laat zich kenmerken door de experimentele sounds. De term Indie stamt van het Engelse woord ‘independent’ af, wat onafhankelijk betekent. Onafhankelijk, in de zin van n

iet gebonden zijn aan een groot platenlabel. Indieliefhebbers staan open voor nieuwe muziek, zijn jong, artistiek en onafhankelijk. Omdat Indie de populaire muziek van de huidige generatie is, vind Indie in Town dat er meer plekken moeten komen waar opkomende indie-acts kunnen spelen. Op Indie in Town staan acts die vernieuwend, jong en gewoon retegoed zijn. Deze acts zouden binnen een korte tijd kunnen doorbreken. Naast programmering van goede muziek probeert Indie in Town ook de gehele beleving van de avond te verbeteren. Wanneer muziekliefhebbers muziek luisteren reizen ze naar een andere planeet vol met goede vibraties. Indie in Town probeert deze trip te verbeteren door aankleding, kunstexposities en het stimuleren van alle zintuigen.

We dachten dat we klaar waren met 2025 maar we gaan onze stoffige draaitalenten uit de kast trekken in de kelder van Paradiso de 29e. Marathon heeft drie jaar geleden nog bij ons in de Nieuwe Anita gespeeld en we hebben heel veel zin om nu bij hen te spelen tijdens deze bijzondere avond. We draaien geen Creed, sorry. Wel zin in! Amsterdams management bureau La Kamarade doet al een paar jaar showcases met hun nieuwste artiesten. Dit jaar komen ze zonder backline maar mét hun usb’tjes naar de 1900 van Skatecafe. Mood Bored, Dear Omen en Bowl gaan band2band2band, AIDAN b2b LYLO brengen bass, en bij La Kamarade dj team komt alles samen.

Indie in Town is super blij ze er bij te hebben voor hun 10 jarig bestaan. Ren naar die ticketlink.

Amsterdam-based management and talent development agency La Kamarade has been hosting showcases featuring their newest artists for several years now. This year, they will be coming to Skatecafe’s 1900 without their backline, but with their USB’s. Mood Bored, Dear Omen, and Bowl will be going band2band2band, AIDAN b2b LYLO will be bringing bass, and the La Kamarade DJ team will be bringing it all together.

Het gaat goed met . Als winnaars van de Amsterdamse Popprijs krijgen ze steeds meer aandacht in de Nederlandse indiescene. We gingen langs bij de band om over de bijzondere oorsprong van het project te praten en hun message. Ook legden we de band statements voor: eens of oneens. 12 december zie je ze live in .
