What if a used plastic bag could become part of a large, collectively made artwork? 🎈

Built entirely from discarded plastic bags, ‘Museo Aero Solar’ transforms everyday waste into a monumental inflatable structure, shaped through collective making across the city. Throughout the summer, you are invited to donate used plastic bags, join workshops and contribute to a project that brings together art, community and environmental awareness.

In the coming weeks, ‘Museo Aero Solar’ hosts a series of collection activities throughout Amsterdam. From 17–19 July, the project comes to life through public workshops as part of Synergy City, before continuing at Synergy Art Festival on 24 July.

🇳🇱 Wat als een afgedankte plastic tas begint, groeit in Museo Aero Solar uit tot een grootschalig kunstwerk dat door de stad én haar bewoners wordt gevormd. De hele zomer kun je plastic tassen doneren, aanschuiven bij workshops en meehelpen bouwen aan een werk dat steeds verder groeit. Laag voor laag krijgt alledaags afval een nieuw leven als een kleurrijke zwevende structuur, gedragen door zon, lucht en de kracht van samen maken.

17 t/m 19 juli komt Museo Aero Solar tot leven tijdens een reeks openbare workshops als onderdeel van Synergy City. Op 24 juli reist het project verder naar Synergy Art Festival. Iedereen die meedoet, laat een spoor achter in een kunstwerk dat de hele zomer groeit.

Discover the work of Rey Jaffet and Sean Behm: Source Spirits, a monumental installation that brings together interdimensional symbolism, kinetic form, light and advanced fabrication techniques. At its core, Source Spirits is driven by a philosophical inquiry into the human spirit, our interconnectedness and the possibility of a shared collective consciousness.

From 17–21 July, ‘Source Spirits’ is presented at Museumplein as part for Synergy City. It then travels to Flevopark on 24 July, where it is shown as part of Synergy Art Festival.

Like dancing with air, ‘Steel Grass’ by artist collective Aérosculpture transforms its surroundings into a dreamlike environment. From 17–21 July, Last Survivors is presented in Park Frankendael for Synergy City before traveling to Flevopark as part of Synergy Art Festival.

In motion, Steel Grass mirrors the constant, shifting dance of molecules. In stillness, it becomes a quiet silver blade reaching toward the sky, capturing both motion and calm in a single, mesmerizing gesture.

Last Survivors explores the fate of humanity in a world shaped by extreme environmental conditions and rapid technological change. With a playful and humorous approach, Stine Deja creates monumental figures in which the human body merges with the resilience of tardigrades, microscopic animals capable of surviving both extreme cold and extreme heat.

We are excited to share that Last Survivors is on view from 17–21 July, in Park Frankendael as part of Synergy City before it travels to Flevopark, where it is shown as part of Synergy Art Festival.

🇳🇱 Last Survivors onderzoekt het lot van de mensheid in een wereld die wordt gevormd door extreme omgevingscondities en snelle technologische verandering. Met een speelse en humoristische benadering creëert Stine Deja monumentale figuren waarin het menselijk lichaam samensmelt met de veerkracht van tardigrades, microbeestjes die zowel extreme koud als hitte overleven.

Met veel plezier delen we dat Last Survivors van 17 t/m 21 juli te zien is in Park Frankendael als onderdeel van Synergy City, voordat het werk verder reist naar het Flevopark, waar het wordt gepresenteerd tijdens het Synergy Art Festival:

Step into Pyramid Curbs: a monumental inflatable installation by artist Cyril Lancelin. Blurring the boundaries between sculpture and architecture, the work transforms public space into a playful, otherworldly environment. Like colorful roots growing from the earth, the work invites you to rethink what space can be.
‘Pyramid Curbs’ is both part of Synergy City and Synergy Art Festival. From 17–21, the installation can first be experienced as an artwork in the public space, before traveling later that week to Synergy Art Festival in the Flevopark on 24 July. Stay tuned as the exact locations will be announced soon!

🇳🇱 Ontdek Pyramid Curbs: een monumentale opblaasbare installatie gemaakt door kunstenaar Cyril Lancelin. Met Pyramid Curbs vervaagt Cyril Lancelin de grenzen tussen sculptuur en architectuur en transformeert hij de publieke ruimte tot een speelse, bijna surrealistische wereld. Als kleurrijke wortels of kronkelende buizen die uit de grond komen, nodigt het werk je uit om opnieuw na te denken over wat ruimte kan zijn.
Pyramid Curbs is zowel onderdeel van Synergy City als Synergy Art Festival. De installatie is van 17 tot en met 21 juli te zien in de openbare ruimte en reist later die week naar het Synergy Art Festival op 24 juli. Meer informatie over de exacte locaties volgt snel!

This summer art moves beyond the festival grounds and into the city.

Across public locations in Amsterdam, you'll encounter monumental installations, living sculptures and immersive artworks by artists including , .and.concrete, , and more.

Step inside Cyril Lancelin's colourful Pyramid Curbs, meet Stine Deja's giant hybrid creatures in Last Survivors, wander through Steel Grass by Aérosculpture, or discover artworks that transform familiar public spaces into places of curiosity.

Alongside the artworks, Synergy City will host a public programme of performances, workshops and artistic interventions inviting you to explore your creativity.

What if you could not only hear music, but also feel it? Meet the Music Hammock: a multisensory installation by Dutch designer and artist Parker Hertzberger that transforms music into something you can physically feel.

As the fabric becomes a speaker, vibrations travel through your body, creating an immersive experience that feels like lying inside a living instrument.
