This July, I will teach at Music Amerongen.

Amerongen, in the Utrecht Hill Ridge, offers an intimate and inspiring setting to study and live music. Steinway & Sons pianos, lessons, concerts, and additional practices such as Yoga and Alexander Technique provide a rare environment for total musical immersion.

The ISA Music Amerongen Masterclass 2026 will take place from 1–5 July 2026 in Amerongen, Netherlands, offering an intensive and inspiring program for advanced string players and young professionals.

The faculty includes Tosca Opdam (violin), Elisabeth Perry (violin), Asi Matathias (violin), Richard Wolfe (viola), Ella van Poucke (cello), and Nicolas van Poucke (piano). These internationally active artists perform regularly on major stages worldwide, both as soloists and chamber musicians, while also holding influential teaching positions and being widely respected for their thoughtful, individual approach to mentorship.

Designed for highly motivated students and young professionals, the program provides a supportive yet challenging environment where participants can refine their technique, deepen their musical expression, and prepare for the next steps in their artistic journey.
Participants receive at least two masterclass sessions and a dedicated audition training day with mock auditions and jury feedback. The program also includes workshops such as the Alexander Technique and yoga, open access to all classes, student concerts, and performances by faculty and guest artists. Full board—accommodation and meals—is provided, along with time to explore the surroundings of Amerongen.

These days, I’m performing less, focusing more on studying, teaching, reflecting, and growing — so every performance feels even more special.

On February 28, I have the unexpected joy of sharing the stage at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ with my dear sister, Ella van Poucke, stepping in for Sheku & Isata Kanneh-Mason (wishing Sheku a speedy recovery!).

Together, we’ll revisit some cherished works we’ve played for many years:
