Although this year’s journey came to an unexpected end, our commitment to the tribe hasn’t changed. We’ve sent an important update to all main buyers regarding the next steps for Defqon.1 2026.

Visitors who purchased their tickets through the official Q-dance shop are entitled to either keep their Defqon.1 tickets for 2027 or receive a refund. We’ve also published a new refund FAQ, answering the most frequently asked questions about tickets, Travel & Stay products and more.

Sajnos tegnap este hivatalosan is bejelentették, hogy az időjárási körülmények miatt a Defqon.1 fesztivált nem lehet a tervek szerint folytatni.

Nekünk is ugyanolyan váratlan és szomorú ez a hír, mint nektek. Tudjuk, hogy rengetegen hosszú hónapok óta vártátok ezt a hétvégét, ezért teljesen érthető, ha most csalódottak, bizonytalanok vagy éppen aggódóak vagytok.

Ha úton vagytok hazafelé, vezessetek óvatosan, vigyázzatok egymásra.

Akik pedig még a környéken maradnak, próbáljátok a lehető legtöbbet kihozni a hétvégéből. Töltsétek együtt az időt, fedezzétek fel a környéket, és vigyázzatok egymásra. Bár a fesztivál most másképp alakult, reméljük, hogy így is maradnak szép emlékeitek erről a hétvégéről. 🧡

Köszönjük, hogy ilyen összetartó közösséget alkotunk. Most talán minden eddiginél fontosabb, hogy segítsük egymást.

Dear Warriors,

The unthinkable has happened. Defqon.1 has been cancelled for the remainder of the weekend. Effective on Friday June 26th, the Holy Grounds will close their gates.

Today, we received the news that the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code red warning due to extreme heat for at least the next 24 hours. This is the first time the Netherlands has ever issued a code red warning because of high temperatures. Together with the authorities, we are therefore forced to cancel the remaining days of Defqon.1.

We are absolutely devastated by this development. Tens of thousands of dedicated Weekend Warriors are currently staying on the Camping Grounds, many of whom have travelled far and prepared for this weekend for months. Asking them to return home tomorrow is the worst-case scenario, especially with a fully operational festival and everything in place to welcome them.

This is a blow felt on every level. Not only by our visitors, but also by the artists, crew, creatives and everyone else who has worked tirelessly over the past year to bring this edition to life.

To all Weekend Warriors: we’ve got your back. We understand that you didn’t plan for this, and we will do everything we can to help you get home safely. On Friday, the Camping Grounds and part of the Festival Grounds will remain open, without musical programming but with all essential facilities available. This gives you the time to make arrangements for your journey home on Friday, June 26th. We’ll be there every step of the way.

For now, we urge you to rest and prepare for the journey tomorrow.

We will refund all tickets. More information regarding additional compensation will be available after the weekend.

This is not the journey we imagined, and the reality has barely sunk in. Nevertheless, it is our duty to take care of you. That is our sacred oath.

Warriors, we have an important update regarding Friday and Saturday Visitors at Defqon.1. First and foremost: Defqon.1 will continue as planned for Weekend Visitors. However, due to the extreme weather forecast for Friday and Saturday, we, together with the authorities, have made the difficult decision to restrict access on those days to Weekend Visitors only. This was the only option to ensure the continuation of Defqon.1 this year.

Over the past few days, we have been in close consultation with the municipality, emergency services, and other relevant authorities regarding the expected heat. Together, we explored every possible measure to improve the safety and wellbeing of our visitors. However, despite the additional precautions put in place, the combination of the forecasted temperatures and the visitor numbers expected on Friday and Saturday creates risks that we are not willing to take.

Therefore, holders of Friday and/or Saturday Tickets will not be able to attend Defqon.1 on those days.
This decision was not made lightly, and it comes with a very heavy heart. We know how much this weekend means to all of you. However, the health and safety of our visitors must always come first.

By significantly reducing the number of visitors on-site, and with the additional measures that have been implemented, we believe, together with the municipality and emergency services, that we can provide a safer environment for all Weekend Visitors. This includes more available shade, better access to facilities, and less crowding during peak moments.

In addition, we have decided to cancel the Warrior Workout on Saturday. Given the expected temperatures, we do not believe it would be responsible to host a large-scale workout. POWER HOUR will go ahead as planned, but will be moved to 19:00.
