Very grateful to see this from Grammy-winning Craig Bauer on Instagram about our Samplicity Classic Reverb 960:
For the entire hardware portion of my career, the Lexicon 960 was my reverb. And even beyond it remained as the last piece of hardware as I entered the ITB age.
I’ve been waiting and waiting for a company to release a plugin emulation of this incredible reverb and had recently threw out a plea on my IG page for someone to do it. Shortly after, I learned that there actually is one.
makes a 960 plugin. And it sounds excellent. In fact, in the very short time it’s been in my arsenal, it has replaced my “go to” and become my first choice. Do you have any idea how big of a statement that is?
One of the main factors of the love for my 960 was the modulation section that includes the Spin, Wander, and Depth parameters. Also Included are the obvious delay, pre delay, reverb decay, early/tail balance but there’s also an effective 3 band EQ section.
The A/B copy and compare setting is also hugely helpful when designing a reverb sound. There’s a huge amount of presets for every type of reverb sound from hall to ambiences.
And… for all that it delivers, IT’S NOT EXPENSIVE!
I’m about to demo all of there other reverbs as well. There’s a bunch of them.
Let me make this “simple.” If you don’t check these reverb plugins out, check yourself into psychiatric ward. Immediately.
