Utrecht will always be a very special city to me.

It’s the city that gave me the opportunity to play several times a week and truly hone my craft as a DJ.

Back in the ’90s, I was spinning on weekdays at student clubs like Axl, K-sjot and Woolloomooloo, and on weekends at Winkel van Sinkel and Monza.

Playing so often, in so many different settings and in front of so many different crowds, really gave me the experience and confidence that became the foundation for my later career.

Since Club NL closed its doors, there hasn’t really been a place where an ‘older youngster’ like me can go out and feel completely at home. Somewhere you don’t feel out of place among a crowd of twenty-somethings, where you know the music will be great and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Hopefully, HONK will become exactly that kind of place!

Low entry fee, affordable drinks, an early start and still home at a decent hour — what’s not to love?

𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with a feel-good set full of funky and disco house, and I honestly can’t wait!

Will you be joining us?
