Het Castello Consort is een groep jonge Nederlandse musici met een grote passie voor muziek uit het verleden. De muziek van Dowland, Purcell en tijdgenoten is wonderschoon en een tikje melancholiek.

Kroesbergen-virginaal op cd én tournee!

Ter gelegenheid van het tienjarig bestaan brengt Castello Consort de cd 'Symphoniae' uit met 17e-eeuwse muziek uit de Lage Landen. 💿

Op de cd klinkt een rijk palet aan historische instrumenten, waaronder een virginaal, een basse de violon en een viool uit de collectie van Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds. 🎹🎻

En in maart gaat het ensemble op tour, waar het virginaal ook live te horen zal zijn.

We are looking forward to our upcoming tour: The Image of Melancholly🥀🌥️🍂

These four concerts will feature a selection of the most beautiful, melancholic English consort music by Dowland, Holborne, Phillips, Purcell, and more. We will perform this in a large mixed consort setting, with viola da gamba's, winds, lute and virginal.
