If you have ever sat at a bar, and let's be honest, if you're seeing this post, you definitely have; you might have experienced the "Oh, I wish I could know how to make a cocktail like that" or the "OMG, you can put a cocktail on fire?!" feeling.

Tonight from 19:00 to 21:00 is Piano Night at ✨

An evening where film music meets cocktails with a live pianist. As the nights grow longer, Bar Oldenhof is transitioning to its new Autumn/Winter menu. This year’s selection draws creative cues from classic movie genres, translating the energy of comedies, science fiction, and horror films into the glass.

The menu balances playful, bright flavour profiles with deep, complex ingredients suited for autumn and winter. It provides a relaxed, cinematic backdrop for an evening in the Jordaan, combining classic hospitality with a fresh, imaginative approach to seasonal mixology.

Cue is not your regular cocktail bar. Each night from Thursday to Sunday, while the bartenders joke behind the bar as they make cocktails, a DJ takes over the vinyl booth and sets the tone for the night.

You could have a completely different experience even if you visit the bar every day. The music ranges from ambient to jazz to electronic pop and UK street.

And tonight, is behind the decks with Latin Disco, soul, and rumba. Settle in, grab a seat at the bar, order a Sgroppino to keep the last minutes of summer still alive.

Martin, known as has been a key player in the Amsterdam Cocktail scene for the past decade. He currently oversees the drinks program at the 50 Best Discovery, the late-night Latin bar Sins of Sal and the Latin American restaurant Salmuera.

Martin's culinary background strongly influences his approach to creating cocktails. Through his work, he narrows the gap between gastronomy and cocktails.
