a tongue swollen teeth grinding the taste of iron and saliva

dry desert lips where no wind picks up the seeds of sounds coming from within

this mouth a cave where heat gathers and chaos accumulates

joy collides with the mourning of a witness

this builds pressure that is felt in the
nerve ends of teeth

it will soon travel deeper within
to places with the least resistance like
the heart

and it will sit there and it will cause something

whispers of ancestors

words from heart to mouth like water flowing
from roots to fruits left unpicked by eyes

unpecked by birds

fallen rotten decay

joy collides with the mourning of a witness
