🚨🇪🇸 La Liga introduces new refereeing rules for the 2026/27 season:
🔸 VAR will now be allowed to intervene in second yellow card situations, mistaken red card decisions and incorrectly awarded corners. 🖥️
🔸 Substituted players must leave the pitch within 10 seconds, otherwise their replacement will have to wait 60 seconds before entering. ⏱️
🔸 Players receiving treatment will generally be required to remain off the field for one minute before returning. 🤕
🔸 If a goalkeeper stops play for treatment without suffering a foul-related injury, one teammate must also leave the pitch for one minute. 🧤
🔸 Throw-ins will be controlled by a strict five-second countdown. ⏰
🔸 A penalty that is accidentally struck twice will be considered a miss if the ball does not go into the net. 🥅
🔸 Referees will now publicly announce and explain their final decisions after VAR reviews. 🗣️
