IN BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH.
💔 MY HEART IS HEAVY 💔
Today, my thoughts are with the innocent children, teachers, and school staff who are currently being held captive by kidnappers.
As I sit and imagine what these families are going through, my heart breaks. Somewhere tonight, parents may be unable to sleep, wondering if their children are safe. Children who should be in classrooms learning and dreaming about their future are instead facing fear and uncertainty.
The pain of a mother who cannot hold her child, the anguish of a father waiting for good news, and the suffering of teachers who dedicated their lives to educating others are difficult to put into words.
No child deserves to grow up with memories of fear. No teacher deserves to be punished for serving their community. Every life matters.
As a nation, this is a moment to stand together in compassion, prayer, and support for the affected families. Let us remember those who cannot speak for themselves at this moment. Let us remember the parents whose hearts are breaking. Let us remember the children whose only desire was to go to school and learn.
May God protect every captive, comfort every family, strengthen those working for their safe return, and bring this painful situation to a peaceful end.
