I saw this tweet and I think we need to have some discussion about it.

This tweet made me smile because it exposes the biggest illusion in the entertainment industry. The general public looks at an artist and sees a person surrounded by "hypemen" and "hangers-on."

But as a business strategist, when I look at a top-tier celebrity, I don’t see an entourage. I see a Mobile Corporation.

Let us look at the Music Industry and the absolute necessity of The Walking Enterprise.

Here is the "Real Thing" about how global celebrities operate:

When you see an A-list artist walking through an airport or arriving at a club with 10 people, you are not looking at a musician and his idle friends. You are watching a multi-million-Naira company moving its headquarters.

In this corporate structure, the artist is not just a human being. The artist is the Core Product, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Brand Mascot. But a product cannot distribute itself, and a CEO cannot run an empire alone.

Those people "following them around" are the executive board and the operations team:

The guy holding three phones and whispering in the artist's ear? That is the Chief Operating Officer (Manager). He is negotiating high-ticket endorsements, filtering out low-paying gigs, and managing the company's daily pipeline.

The huge guys pushing the crowd away? That is not just a bouncer; that is Asset Protection & Risk Management. They are there to ensure the "Core Product" does not get damaged, delayed, or compromised before delivering a paid service.

The guy with the camera constantly in the artist's face? That is the Director of Corporate Communications (Content/PR). His job is to instantly document the product's lifestyle and broadcast it to millions, keeping the brand's equity insanely high.

The person adjusting their jacket? That is the Head of Brand Identity (Stylist). They ensure the visual packaging of the product always justifies the premium booking fee.

The guy making sure the cars are ready? That is the Head of Logistics (Road Manager), ensuring the supply chain (getting the artist to the stage) never breaks down.

The public mocks them because the public does not understand scale. If Burna Boy or Davido tried to negotiate their own performance contracts, iron their own clothes, edit their own TikToks, and drive their own cars, the "Product" would suffer from severe operational fatigue. Their creative genius would die.

They pay that massive staff so the artist only has to do one thing: Perform.

Why am I telling you this?

Many of you are running your businesses like struggling indie artists instead of global superstars.

You run an agency, a consulting firm, or a tech business, and you are doing everything yourself.

You are the CEO, the customer service rep, the content creator, the accountant, and the lead generator. You boast about being a "one-man army" and saving money on salaries.

That is not a flex. That is a massive operational bottleneck.

The Celebrity Enterprise teaches us a hard truth:

You cannot scale a massive brand if you are the only employee.

If you want to command the highest fees in your industry, you have to transition from a lone hustler into a structured corporation. You must build a team to handle logistics, administration, and marketing so that you can focus 100% of your energy on delivering your core genius.

A king without an army is just a guy with a hat. Build your corporate entourage.

I hope you learned something today.
