Nigerian Cowbell Then vs Now 😂
If you grew up in Nigeria in those days, you will understand this story very well.
Back then when you open a new tin of Cowbell milk, the powder will be full to the top. In fact if you open it carelessly, the milk will almost pour outside like it is saying “welcome my child.”
One spoon of Cowbell that time was powerful. Just one spoon inside tea and the tea will change color immediately. If you mistakenly add two spoons, your tea has automatically turned to ceremony tea 😂.
Those days mothers used to warn us seriously:
“Don’t waste the Cowbell o!”
But we stubborn children will still carry the spoon and dig inside the tin like we are mining gold. Before you know it, the top of the milk will have spoon marks everywhere.
Sometimes you go and check the tin later and you will see the milk is no longer flat again… it now has valley and mountain because everybody in the house has been digging small small 😭.
But these days when you open Cowbell… hmm.
You open the tin and the milk is already sitting at the bottom like it is hiding from you.
You add one spoon… nothing happens.
You add second spoon… the tea is still looking at you.
By the time you add the fourth spoon, you will now remember the price of Cowbell in the market and quietly drop the spoon back inside 😂.
Nigeria really showed us different versions of Cowbell.
But one thing is sure…
that old Cowbell taste will forever live in our childhood memories.
Abeg tell me the truth…
Did your own Cowbell tin also have those spoon digging marks like this? 😂🥛
