NEWS REACHING US⛔️ I'm Battle-Ready: Sunday Igboho Seeks Govt Approval For Iru Ekun Security Network Amid Oyo Kidnappings, Igboho made the call on Tuesday while sympathising with families affected by the recent abduction of students and teachers during coordinated attacks on schools in Oyo State.

Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has called on the Nigerian Government and governors in the South-West region to urgently approve the operation of his proposed security outfit, Iru Ekun Security Network, to confront worsening insecurity and rising cases of kidnapping across Yorubaland.

Igboho made the call on Tuesday while sympathising with families affected by the recent abduction of pupils, students and teachers during coordinated attacks on schools in Oyo State.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the activist said he had completed all necessary procedures required to commence operations of the security network but was still awaiting official approval from the Federal Government and relevant security agencies.

“I’m only awaiting the approval of the government to tackle growing insecurity ravaging the South-West headlong,” he said.

According to him, the proposed Iru Ekun Security Network was designed to flush out kidnappers, bandits and criminal herders who, he alleged, had taken over forests across the South-West region.

I don’t want to start our strategic and effectively mapped out onslaught against these criminals without the official approval from the Federal Government, South-West governors and relevant security stakeholders, the Police, Department of State Services, Nigeria Army and others,” the statement read.

Reacting to the recent school attacks in Ahoro-Esinle community in Oyo State, Igboho described the incidents as “sad, unfortunate and worrisome,” particularly because of the trauma suffered by abducted pupils, their parents and affected communities.

“My heart is with the parents of the abducted pupils and familie

IMAGINE: A young man reportedly broke into an uncompleted building and committed a "financial crime" that has left everyone speechless.

He found 60 buckets of high-quality paint worth over ₦1.5 Million. Instead of stealing the paint or finding a buyer, he poured everything away on the floor just so he could sell the empty plastic buckets for ₦1,000 each!

In the end, he destroyed ₦1.5M to make a "paltry" ₦60,000. Is this a case of mental health issues, or is some people's "wickedness" just different?

Over 50 D , Many Inj¥red as Suspected Military Airstrike Hits Market Near Borno-Yobe Border

At least 56 people, mostly traders, are feared d+ad and several others inj¥red after a suspected military airstrike hit a busy weekly market along the Borno–Yobe border.

The tragic incident occurred on Saturday at Jilli Market, a popular trading hub between Gubio in Borno State and Geidam in Yobe State. The market typically draws large crowds from nearby communities, making the impact even more devastating.

Sources say the airstrike was part of an operation targeting suspected Boko Haram insurgents believed to have entered the market to collect levies and gather supplies. However, the strike reportedly missed its intended targets, hitting civilians instead.

An eyewitness described the chaos, saying the att@ck happened around 2:46 p.m. while trading was in full swing.

“We suddenly heard loud explosions. People started running in panic, but the strikes continued,” the source said. “I counted 56 bodies myself and helped take inj¥red victims to the hospital. The toll may be higher as more bodies are still being found.”

Medical sources confirmed that at least 14 inj¥red victims were rushed to the Specialist Hospital in Geidam, with some later referred to the Teaching Hospital in Damaturu for further treatment.

Local officials have also confirmed the incident. A ward councillor, Malam Lawan Zanna, said initial reports indicated over 30 d+aths, with more than 20 people hospitalized, some of whom later d+ed from their inj¥ries.

Yobe State’s Special Adviser on Security, Brigadier General Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd), acknowledged the incident but clarified that the affected market lies within Borno State territory.

As of the time of reporting, the Nigerian Air Force has yet to issue an official statement on the deadly strike.
