EPISODE 2 — MR. RICHARD’S MANSION

The gate opened slowly.

Chibuzor’s mouth fell open immediately.

The mansion looked like a hotel.

Luxury cars lined up perfectly.

Security men stood everywhere.

Flowers decorated the compound beautifully.

The house had a swimming pool, glass balconies, shining marble floors, and chandeliers brighter than village destiny.

This was the home of Mr. Richard, his father’s childhood friend.

Mr. Richard welcomed him warmly.

Unlike many rich men, he was humble.

( INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY )

( MR. RICHARD )

You are welcome, my son.

From today, this is your home.

Chibuzor almost cried.

He was given a beautiful room downstairs in the main building.

Not the boys’ quarters.

The main house.

That alone caused jealousy among the workers.

But Chibuzor remained respectful and hardworking.

Within months, Mr. Richard began loving him like a real son.

The workers in the boys’ quarters hated Chibuzor secretly.

They envied him.

Some insulted him behind his back.

Others accused him falsely.

But Chibuzor ignored them all.

The day finally came.

Chibuzor packed his clothes inside one small travelling bag.

His mother held his hands tightly.

( MOTHER PRAYS )

MRS. JACKSON

May favour locate you.

May the purpose that took you to Lagos be fulfilled.

She burst into tears.

His sisters hugged him tightly.

Everyone cried.

It felt like a funeral instead of a journey.

His father tried to stay strong.

Respect my friend.

Be humble.

His father followed him to the motor park.

Everything shocked him.

The noise.

The driver stepped down.

Inside a small old house lived the family of Chibuzor Michael.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jackson, struggled every single day to provide food for their children.

They had three children:

Chibuzor — the first son

Chiamaka — the second child

Amarachi — the last daughter

Though poor, they loved one another deeply.

Their happiness was not built on money, but on unity.

Mr. Michael Jackson worked endlessly under the hot sun just to make sure his children stayed in school.

Years later, Chibuzor finally graduated from the university at the age of 22.

He studied Marine Engineering.

The entire village celebrated him because he was the first graduate in the family.

The next morning…

Campus was unusually loud.

Students gathered in groups, whispering excitedly while staring at their phones.

Some laughed.

Some gossiped.

Some looked shocked.

And in the middle of it all—
Was the photo.

Jayden and Serena standing close together outside her hostel in the rain.

The way he looked at her made everything obvious.
