A disturbing video showing a kidnapped father pleading for help with his baby daughter on his lap has sparked fresh concerns over the growing threat of kidnapping in Kaduna State, as armed captors reportedly demand a staggering ₦300 million ransom to free the family.
The man, identified as Ahmad Abubakar Zakka, was seen sitting beside his wife while making an emotional appeal for assistance. In the footage, an armed man points a r***e at Zakka’s head as he begs for help, with his wife and baby beside him.
The family was reportedly abducted on Monday, October 5, 2026, when armed men invaded Alrahus Estate in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Reports also indicated that Zakka’s wife was pregnant at the time of the abduction.
Zakka disclosed in the video that the kidnappers were demanding ₦300 million for their release. His right hand also appeared swollen in the footage, adding to concerns about the family’s condition while in captivity.
The incident has once again raised troubling questions about the safety of residents, particularly families living in communities vulnerable to armed attacks and abductions.
