Coach laughed, “Relax—you’ll resurrect after water break!”

Everyone burst into laughter, but the message stuck.

MATCH REPORT

Sparrow Champion Athletes Academy 3–1 Hope F.A

It was a fiercely contested encounter from kickoff to the final whistle, with both sides showing intensity and determination throughout the game.

The Sparrians got off to a perfect start when Emmanuel Joshua opened the scoring early in the first half, calmly finishing a well-delivered set-piece pass from Mustapha Rokeeb. The early goal set the tone, but despite several efforts from both teams, the first half ended 1–0 in favour of Sparrow.

The visitors came back stronger after the break and found their equalizer in the 55th minute (10 minutes into the second half), capitalizing on sustained pressure. At that stage, Hope F.A took control of possession, testing the resilience and discipline of the Sparrians.

However, the tide turned following key tactical substitutions. The introduction of Olamipo Yusuf for GOODLUCK YUSUF, alongside the impactful arrival of Timileyin Saubana in place of Mustapha Rokeeb, injected fresh energy into the team and posed serious problems for the opposition defense.

Timileyin Saubana proved decisive, netting a brilliant brace to seal the victory. His first goal came from a well-crafted assist by Malik Abdul-Akeem, while his second was brilliantly converted from a long throw/corner situation delivered by captain Sunday Daniel.

The Sparrians showed resilience, tactical discipline, and attacking efficiency to overcome a strong and well-organized Hope F.A side.

Mr. Victor Uzoho brings with him a wealth of international experience, professional knowledge, and a strong passion for youth football development. His appointment marks a major step forward in the growth and global vision of Sparrow Champion Athletes Academy LTD.

• UEFA Licensed Coach
• Master's Degree Holder in Sport Management (Finland)
• Silver Medalist Winning Coach – Finland Women Premier League & FA Cup Finland, 2020
• Experienced Registered FIFA Intermediary

Beyond his professional credentials, Mr. Victor Uzoho is also a Shareholder of Sparrow Champion Athletes Academy LTD, demonstrating his strong commitment and belief in the academy’s long-term vision.

Currently based in Finland, he will contribute his international experience, professional network, and technical expertise to support:

Sparrow Champion Athletes Academy was born from a vision — a vision to raise not just footballers, but champions in character, discipline, faith, and excellence.

As the founder, I personally composed the Sparrow Champion Anthem as a source of motivation for my boys. It was not written just as a song, but as a declaration. A reminder that no matter where we start from, we are destined to aim high, shoot high, and rise every time we fall.
We are a grassroots football academy, yes — but being local does not mean thinking small.
