Litotes usually uses negative words such as "not," "no," or "nothing" together with the opposite of what the speaker really means. However, not every sentence containing "not," "no," "never," or "nothing" is an example of litotes. A sentence is litotes only when the negative expression is used to suggest the positive opposite, such as "not bad" (good), "no small task" (a very difficult task).

Here's a Typical Example of Bathos:

Ejike was scared. He knew he could go to jail if the fraud was traced back to him. But then he remembered the chilled bottle of coke and the peppered fried chicken that would be arriving shortly and his mouth watered.
"Make I chop first," he thought. "After all, all die na die."

This is an effective example of bathos because the mood suddenly drops from the serious possibility of imprisonment to the ordinary and almost comical concern of eating fried chicken. The abrupt change reduces the tension and creates humour while also revealing something about Ejike's carefree and reckless personality.

Let's break down the main ideas of conflict:
1. Conflict drives the Plot:
Every story has a storyline and an issue it needs to address.The storyline is the plot and the issue that needs to be addressed is the conflict. Thus, while plot is the car, conflict is the fuel that moves the story forward.

2. It creates suspense:
Conflict brings out the good stuff in a story. It creates the problem that puts something at risk. This, in turn, creates uncertainty and it forces the character(s) to make tough choices. This problem and the uncertainty it brings keeps the audience at the edge of their seats.

3. It exposes the true nature of the characters:
A character's reaction to pressure is exposed by conflict. Conflict is the fire that can bend, break or forge a character.

In conclusion, conflict is the engine of every story. It awakens the story, builds up the tension and creates the spice that leaves the audience spell bound.

Tragic flaw doesn’t ruin characters. It makes them human and more relatable. Flaws add depth to a character. It also makes them more interesting because perfection is boring and often impossible to relate to. When Macbeth’s ambition or Antony's obsession takes over, we don’t just watch them fall, we see parts of ourselves in that fall. Those mistakes create tension. It forces them to make hard choices. This is what turns a flat character into someone we remember. Without that one fatal weakness, every story would end neatly, and no one would learn anything. So, tell me, what's that flaw that you need to control before it controls you?
