Part 2: Building from the altar, not the stage
Every true ministry is built from the altar, not the stage. The altar is where your sound is born, the stage is only where it’s heard.
The altar is the secret place: the place of prayer, surrender, tears, and deep dealings with God. It’s where your motives are purified, your gift is refined, and your heart is aligned. If you skip that process, you may still sound good but you won’t carry God.
Many artistes today are building careers, not altars. They know how to promote songs but not how to host presence. They can gather crowds but not carry the burden of souls. And while the world may celebrate skill, Heaven only endorses surrender.
Look at the greats who have truly made impact, their strength is not their voice, it’s their altar. Men like Moses didn’t have microphones, but they had encounters. Before Elijah stood before kings, he first stood before God.
If you build from the altar, your sound will never be ordinary. Because when you sing, you won’t just perform you’ll minister life. The difference is not in what you sing, but in where you’re singing from.

Don’t let your desire for visibility replace your hunger for depth. The altar is where you gain authority. Build there first, and every stage will bow to the weight of your consecration.
