Rivers International Film Festival set to beat her own record as over 1700 films from 172 countries have been submitted into the fourth edition of the festival.
You can recount that in her second edition 2,230 films were submitted from 172 countries.
Film submissions are still ongoing and will be ending soon. Some of the countries with the highest submissions are as follows;
Brazil (134), India(128), France(90), United States (87), Italy(62), Nigeria(50), Spain (49), Russia(47), Portugal(44), China(37), Argentina (30), United Kingdom (29), Mexico(25), Uganda(24), South Africa(21), Canada(20), Egypt(20), Kenya(20), Colombia(15), Germany(15) etc.
It is beautiful to have first time submissions from Chile, Coasta Rica, Czechia, Serbia, Belarus etc.

A five man Rivers State delegate led by the permanent secretary ministry of Culture and tourism Barr Tamuno Ishmael is set to be at The DC Washington Independent Film Festival United States of America to screen a Port Harcourt love story DARA directed by Bobby Rak.
The other delegates include The Chairman of Nigerian Film Festivals Association/ Founder Rivers International Film Festival, Amb Kate Ezeigbo, Hon Cromwell Chuku a BOT of Desgol Entertainment World wide, the organizers of the Rivers International Film Festival, and Director of Tour Rivers Initiative Beach Harcourt Club and Ms Constance Aleru Asst Director Tour Rivers Beach Harcourt Club.

We are taking everything that represents us as a people down to DCIFF. DARA is our product, the only film selected from Africa we can't do less as we look forward to bringing this home. Africa, Nigeria, Rivers State , Port Harcourt DARA is for us....says Kate Ezeigbo

Dear Bobby Rak, thank you for putting our dear Rivers State on the map again. This is my present day reality, the moments that matters to me

I can't wait to see the smiles on your face when Dara is screened at the DC Washington Film Festival in the United States of America on the 15th of this February.

Dara the only film selected from Africa in this festival, shot in the city of Port Harcourt. And to all those who still believe in our dear state, I pray this strengthens you.
Shut your eyes, against all forms of distraction . Do your own bit and watch us make global impact together💪💪💪💪.
