The Leaf's POV
At first, I was only an idea,
Until RUBES made the first pencil strokes.
Gradually, my outlines were formed,
And I began to be.
Dried and withering I was,
Yet I hoped RUBES would look closely.
I didn't want to be overlooked anymore,
So glad I was when RUBES persisted.
I had doubts, and so did RUBES.
She paused and retreated,
But I was reassured, knowing RUBES has a deep soul.
Still, I lay unfinished.
Soon, RUBES was back to forming me,
Another sure proof that:
"In each piece of her art,
Lies a part of her."
My becoming journey continued.
To RUBES, I was a challenge,
And she needed me.
You have no idea how glad that made me.
My veins and minute details,
My deepest and roughest parts,
She brought to life on paper,
And I was soon ready.
My happiest moment was when
RUBES signed her name just beside me.
I couldn't have been more elated when
RUBES stepped back and saw that I was good.
