A Poem (Satan's Fall)
His jealousy of God's own Son,
The root of all, the deed undone.
Rebellion stirred, a restless heart,
In Eden's peace, a ploy to start,
To tempt and sway the hearts of man,
A rift began, a tragic span.
The battle raged, a war in heaven,
The faithful stood, their cause was given,
To cast out sin and Satan's woe,
To earth below, a fiery blow.
The fall of Satan, swift and dire,
From heaven's host, a banished fire,
To earth he fell, a raging star,
Defeated, marred, a heartless scar.
And so he roams, a prince of air,
To tempt and sway, the hearts ensnared,
But God's own Son, in love's embrace,
Will break the chains, restore the grace.
