Naruto creator said what?!!
Naruto's original manga creator just said Boruto is not his manga ππ
In a recent interview during the Konoha Experience event in Paris, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto made it clear that he is no longer the driving force behind the Boruto manga.
Speaking to fans alongside illustrator Mikio Ikemoto, Kishimoto stated:
> βFor Boruto, Ikemoto is completely in charge of the story and main illustrations. It really is Ikemoto's manga.β
This quote puts to rest ongoing confusion about who is currently handling the Boruto story, especially following multiple creative shifts in the series.

What This Means π
While Kishimoto helped launch Boruto and briefly wrote key arcs, the current direction of the series β especially post-timeskip β is entirely led by Mikio Ikemoto.
This also reflects in the tone and character focus of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which has taken a much different approach from Naruto.
Fans now have official confirmation from Kishimoto himself:
> Boruto, in its current form, is no longer his manga β it belongs to Ikemoto.
