*HARD TO BELIEVE: MY BISHOP IS GONE*
Humility embodied in a human person,
Vibrant in liturgy.
His celebration of the Holy Mass, always heavenly.
A preacher of holiness, justice, and love.
Not up to five years ago,
Your image was everywhere across the internet
When you were pronounced the Chief Shepherd (Bishop)
Of the Church in Abakaliki.
And now, within so short a time,
Your work on earth is done.
Heaven has gained,
But we here on earth are left in mourning.
I, for one, will forever miss
A Bishop like you.
May the gates of Paradise be opened to you,
And may your human imperfections
Never hinder your entrance
Into that blessed home.
May your union with the angels and saints
Be eternal,
