The Church That Raised Her And The Rumor Everyone Believed 🗣

For years, many people wondered why Sinach, the voice behind "Way Maker", suddenly stopped being seen in Christ Embassy ,the church that raised her.

Was there a fight? Did Pastor Chris sack her? Did she betray LoveWorld?

The truth is not what many blogs told you. There was no social media war.

THE RUMOR EVERYONE BELIEVED

When Sinach, Frank Edwards, Joe Praize and Eben started leaving LoveWorld, the story everywhere was that Christ Embassy restricted them from ministering outside the church.

The rumor became louder in 2019 when Sinach was invited to minister at THE EXPERIENCE, the biggest gospel concert in Africa hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock. People said, "She has left Christ Embassy for House on the Rock."

Another rumor was that as her international ministry grew after "Way Maker" became a global anthem, she stopped attending Christ Embassy regularly, and leadership was not happy.

But the full truth came from Pastor Chris himself.

WHAT PASTOR CHRIS HIMSELF SAID IN 2024

In a viral video that shocked everyone in early 2024, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome finally broke silence and explained why he had to let go of his biggest music stars.

He said:

"Why did it happen? The church was turned into a party place, not a prayer place where God's word was truly celebrated... they were not soul winners; they led praise in church, and when it was time for prayers, they were gone."

"The church lost its way of worship, everything changed, the music in the church became worldly, they danced for themselves, celebrated themselves not God, they charged for their singing, they became professionals making money from the church..."

THE OFFERED ME FAME AND A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL
Mercy chinwo opened up during an indoor fellowship,she shared a deep insight regarding her fame .

She said ……I grew up in Port Harcourt, in a small Christian home. I was the fourth child of five.
My life was church. From a little girl, I was in the children's choir.
That choir was my school ,that's where I learned how to serve God with my voice, how to stay disciplined, how to wait on God.

When I went for Nigerian Idol, many people thought I would go into secular music.
After that platform, the doors opened. Big doors.

And this is my testimony that I have never fully shared before.

There was a time in my life when the world came with very big offers,bigger brands came ,including the devils dealer(illuminate )

They offered me a whole lot,Money, fame, everything a young girl would want.
But their conditions were against biblical standard.
I can’t serve God from my childhood,and end up having a deal with the devil..(illuminate )
They wanted me to compromise my soul.

I will never forget that season. It looked like if I said no, I would lose everything.

But I remember what my parents taught me, I remember the Seed of God inside me.
I held on to my faith in Christ Jesus.
I said NO to the world. I said YES to Jesus, even when it didn't make sense.

I want to tell you, God did not forget me.

He gave me a new family in EeZee Conceptz. He gave me songs from heaven ,Excess Love, Chinedum.
Songs that I didn't write by power, but by His Spirit.
He gave me a husband who loves God, Pastor Blessed.

Looking back now, if I had taken what the world offered me at the expense of my soul, I would not be here today.

So to you reading this ,maybe the world is offering you a shortcut, maybe you are heartbroken, maybe you feel like holding on to God is wasting your time. Please hold on.

Because His love, His Excess Love, will never let you go.
