8-Year-Old Granddaughter of Borno Hauwa (Aleena) Makes Heartfelt Birthday Appeal to Governor Zulum: “I Want to see my birthday mate the governor . "I will be governor one day too.

For an eight-year-old girl birthday should be a moment of laughter, cake, family and the simple joy of knowing that someone remembers the day you were born.

But for little Hauwa, this year's birthday carries a different kind of hope.

As she clocks eight, the young girl has made a simple but deeply emotional appeal: she wants to celebrate her birthday with Professor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State— her birthday mate.

It is a child's wish, innocent in its simplicity, yet powerful enough to capture the attention of a state.

Hauwa does not appear to be asking for wealth or a grand celebration. Her message is much simpler: she wants to meet the man with whom she shares the same birthday and celebrate the special day together.

For a child growing up without the embrace of a father, whom he he gave their custody to their single mother and said he is out of their responsibilities. such a moment could mean far more than a birthday cake.

It could mean being seen.

It could mean being remembered.

It could mean, even for one day, feeling that the world has not forgotten her.

“Khadimul Ummah, I Want To see You”

Her story raises a much bigger question beyond one birthday:

Can a child's innocent wish become an opportunity for society to show her that she matters?

Governor Zulum has built a public reputation around humanitarian interventions, education, support for vulnerable citizens and rebuilding the lives of people affected by years of crisis.

Hauwa's birthday appeal therefore presents an opportunity for the state's leadership and compassionate members of society to turn a simple request into a lasting memory for a vulnerable child.

A Birthday That Could Become a Memory for Life

Imagine an eight-year-old girl standing beside the Governor on her birthday, smiling because the person she hoped to meet actually came.

For many adults, it may be just another official engagement.

For Hauwa, it could become one of the most unforgettable moments of her childhood.

And perhaps that is why her appeal deserves to be heard.

This is not simply a story about a birthday.

It is a story about hope, childhood, compassion and the power of one person's attention to change how a vulnerable child sees the world.

RATTAWU Commends President Tinubu for Ajayi’s Appointment as DSS DG

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr Oluwatosin Ajayi as Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).

RATTAWU President, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, described Ajayi as a man of integrity, competence, valour and proven capacity. Kalu made the commendation during the Union’s Media/Security Critical Engagement and Strategic Partnership for National Development.

He said the engagement was consistent with RATTAWU’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships that promote national development.
The DSS Director-General was honoured with the Golden Era Pillar of Critical and Strategic Intelligence for National Development Award.

The initiative is designed to recognise individuals and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to National development, security, democracy, culture and the growth of Nigeria.

Speaking during the visit, President Prince Emeka Kalu commended President Tinubu for appointing Ajayi to lead the Nation’s foremost domestic intelligence organisation. He described the DSS Director-General as a silent achiever, a competent and detribalised Nigerian, and a man whose commitment to National service transcends ethnic, religious and political considerations.

According to the RATTAWU President, the appointment demonstrates the importance of placing capable Nigerians with integrity and professional competence in strategic positions of National responsibility.

He further noted that the role of the DSS in protecting Nigeria’s National interests, gathering critical intelligence and supporting National security cannot be overemphasised, particularly at a time when the Country is confronted with complex security and emerging technological challenges.

President Kalu said RATTAWU, as a Union representing workers across the radio, television, theatre and arts sectors, has a responsibility to contribute to National development by using its platforms to promote responsible communication, peace, unity and democratic values.

He stated that RATTAWU Nigeria will continue to provide platforms for the sensitisation of citizens, especially as the Nation prepares for the forthcoming general elections. He stressed that the media and creative sectors have an important role to play in combating misinformation, promoting tolerance and encouraging citizens to participate responsibly in the democratic process.

President Kalu also emphasised the need for stronger collaboration between security agencies, the media, creative professionals and organised labour in building a peaceful and cohesive Nigeria.

Responding, the DSS Director-General, Oluwatosin Ajayi, expressed appreciation to the leadership of RATTAWU for the exceptional honour bestowed on him. He described the recognition as a significant gesture that would further encourage him and the Service to remain committed to their responsibilities to the Nation.

The DSS Director-General encouraged RATTAWU to remain steadfast in upholding values that promote National cohesion, tolerance, peace and unity, noting that such values are essential to the continued stability and development of Nigeria.

He assured the Union of his willingness to remain available for constructive engagement, particularly in areas that could create meaningful networks, partnerships and collaboration between the DSS and RATTAWU.

The Director-General expressed optimism that such engagements would strengthen institutional cooperation and contribute to greater National cohesion.
