Where Petals Learn to Die

I bloom in the hush between ruin and grace,
half dust, half dream, beneath the slow sun’s gaze.
My skin remembers every whispered fall
the songs of walls that used to stand tall.

Beauty lingers where sorrow stays,
a fragile hymn the wind still plays.
Each crack in time hums soft and wide
for even decay has its gentler side.

I do not beg the light to last;
I dance with shadows of the past.
For somewhere deep in all that fades,
a melody of gold remains.
