🔥 MEET ALAGBE HEZEKIAH — THE OGBOMOSO-BORN DRIVER WHO RISKED HIS LIFE TO SAVE IWO 🇳🇬👏

A tanker driver, Alagbe Hezekiah, has been praised for his incredible bravery after risking his own life to prevent a devastating fire disaster in Iwo, Osun State.

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Hezekiah was supplying diesel at a filling station around Feesu Junction, along the Iwo–Ibadan Expressway, when his tanker suddenly caught fire. Despite attempts to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, the fire quickly became uncontrollable and began threatening the filling station, nearby businesses and residential buildings.

While others ran to safety, Hezekiah made a courageous decision.

🔥 He climbed into the burning tanker and drove it away from the populated area.

With flames engulfing the truck, he carefully drove towards an uninhabited riverbank, where he eventually detached the truck head from the burning tank, helping to prevent the fire from spreading.

According to Hezekiah, he knew he could either survive or lose his life, but he chose to take the risk rather than allow innocent people and properties to be caught in the disaster.

Thankfully, no life was lost. 🙏❤️

Hezekiah, a proud indigene of Ogbomoso, has been driving tankers since 2004 and has more than two decades of experience behind the wheel.

His extraordinary act has earned him widespread praise as a symbol of courage, selflessness and professionalism. 👏🇳🇬

He has also appealed to the Oyo and Osun State Governments to address the poor condition of roads and urged tanker drivers to always put human lives and safety first.

From Ogbomoso to Iwo, his bravery has reminded Nigerians that heroes can emerge from the most unexpected moments.

: Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide’s Name Successfully Uploaded As APC Candidate for Yagba Federal Constituency.

Hon. Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, has been successfully uploaded on the INEC portal as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives Yagba Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

Hon. Abejide’s name, personal particulars, and other required details relating to his nomination as a candidate and the flag bearer of the party have been successfully updated.

By the INEC timetable, the nomination portal opened for upload on 26th June, 2026, and released access codes to designated national officers of political parties to upload the names, personal particulars, and other required information relating to nominated candidates. Hon. Abejide has been confirmed as one of the candidates of the All Progressives Congress on the INEC portal.
