At Bookstars we celebrate storytellers in every form, shaping culture through their craft.

This is more than a win, this is representation, this is inspiration. And what better time to behold this than in a month women are being celebrated.

08/03/2026

Today we celebrate Women.
Women who lead, nurture, and quietly hold families, communities, and dreams together.
Women who wake up every morning and give their best. Even when they are tired, and life feels
overwhelming or even when no one sees the sacrifices they make.
But no woman should walk alone. Because as women, we are strongest when we support one another.
When one woman says to another woman,
“I see you, and I am here for you".

Some filmmakers follow the industry.
Others reshape it.

Jade Osiberu is one of the women redefining how Nigerian stories travel through streaming.

From bold storytelling to creating films and series that resonate globally, she continues to push the boundaries of what Nollywood can be.

At Bookstars Spotlight, and as we build up to the International women’s day, we celebrate the storytellers who are shifting culture and building the future of African cinema.

Streaming changed. She led.

Which of her projects surprised you the most? 😊

She built her own throne
She created her own lane

…and Nollywood hasn’t been the same since
From Bold storytelling to unforgettable characters

Kemi Adetiba has redefined what power looks like on screen and behind the camera

When she directs, you feel it
When she writes, you remember it

Her body of work reflects what happens when creative leadership is intentional and fearless… it expands culture

As we build up to international women’s day, we at Bookstars celebrates women who move with vision and courage, women who don’t wait for change, but DIRECT it.
