This is one bible passage that changed my perception about Jesus Christ.
Let me lay out the passage as I share my results.
I know most Christians will not like it.
"Mark 11:12-14 KJV - 12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it."
Here are the things I decoded from here.
1. He was hungry
2. He saw a fig tree 🌳 with leaves.
3. He was expecting fruits.
4. He found no fruits- because it was not the season.
5. Jesus cursed the fig tree. That no one will eat of it forever.
HERE ARE MY TURN-OFFS ABOUT THE ACTIONS OF JESUS CHRIST.
A. Jesus was an adult Jewish man who understands plant's season. Common sense or the holy spirit should tell him, it is not the fault of the tree, but nature.
B. He was expecting fruits- why didn't his faith produce the fruits he was expecting?
Or why didn't his expectation come to pass, according to your bible? (The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short.
Because, the object which is the tree 🌳 works according to the season not the hunger of anyone.
C. When he found no fruit instead of moving on or perform miracle, by invoking fruits on the tree he cursed it.
D. Jesus Christ has a zero way of solving problems.
Instead of him taking responsibility for his actions he missed his power by destroying nature (a fig tree 🌳)
E. He lacks emotional intelligence and has zero love for nature.
F. No humanist would act in such a manner.
That particular fig tree lost its generational relevance and economic impact because of Jesus's poor approach.
With these few points of mine, I can tell you for free that Jesus Christ lacks empathy, a good sense of judgement etc.
