EPISODE 2 There's always that one food we prepared that didn't come out the way we planned. 😂

This reminds me of one funny story.

One day, my mum made semo and a very delicious ẹ̀fọ́ elégúsí soup for my dad.

Ha! That soup was everything! 😋 You know that kind of soup that makes you forget your home training.

But that semo...

Na boxing ring e resemble. 😂 Full of lumps!

As my dad carried one mould of swallow, he paused and said,

"Ìyàwó mi, sèmó yìí ó ní kókó o."
(My wife, this semo has lumps o.)

Before my dad could even finish talking, my mum replied back immediately...

"Ẹ fi ìfẹ́ yàgò fún un."
(Abeg, use love to dodge the lumps.) 🤣🤣🤣

Till today, I still laugh whenever I remember that response.

Now over to you...

What's the funniest or most sarcastic response you've given (or received) when someone complained about food that wasn't well prepared? 😂👇

EPISODE 1: The Very First Day I Ever Fried Egg... 6 Eggs O! What a day ! 😂

There's always a first time for everything we know how to do. Every expert was once a beginner. That reminds me of one experience I'll never forget.

The very first day my ever-gorgeous African mother asked me to fry egg... six eggs o! 😂

The struggle started from breaking the eggs. Ha! I couldn't break a single one without the shell falling inside the bowl.

Kpa! Kpa! Slaps and knocks everywhere on my body . Omo African mother no know gentle parenting ooo. 😂

As she removed the shells, she kept saying, la ojú e daada torí tí èpo eyin bá wo inú eyin yìí , maà a se é bí ose se ñ se ojú. In English means
"Open your eyes very well and watch me! Next time if shell enters this egg again, I will deal with you."

Finally, with struggle all six eggs Sha entered the bowl.

Then came whisking.

Kai! Every movement of my hand attracted fresh insults.

"Wo bo ṣe ń ṣe ọwọ! Ṣé o ní ọwọ ni?"
(See the way you're moving your hand. Don't you have hands at all?) Omo that day I can't forget so soon ooo 😂

After whisking, she poured the egg into the hot oil herself and said,

"I'm going to do something inside. You stay here and fry it."

The moment she left...

Sweat started rolling down my face. 😅

I just stood there staring at the egg like it would fry itself.

Then I heard her voice from inside the house...

"Ṣé o ò ní turn ẹyin yìí ni?"
(Won't you turn that egg?)

And with all the innocence in my heart, I shouted back...

"Mummy omi shì wà núnú é means mummy the water never dry!" 😭😂

Silence.

Then she rushed back.

"Water? Did you add water?"

Before I could explain...and before I could think it through sey na true oo shey water dey inside the egg ni?

GBAAAM!

One dirty slap landed on my back.

She started shouting,

"If them born you well, no turn that egg properly! Don't let it burn!"

I quickly turned it...

Too late.

The bottom had already become Agege bread toasted edition. 😂. You should by now guess what happened afterwards 😂 omo that day I see my mama call am papa for my mama hand ooo .ìyà yen po gan oo 😂

That was the day I discovered fried egg doesn't wait for anybody.

Now tell me...

What's that one food your parents forced you to cook for the first time, and how did it end? No 😂👇
