SYBO finally stopped teasing and confirmed Subway Surfers City is launching globally on February 26th. Moving away from the ‘World Tour’ format, the sequel brings the crew to a massive, permanent metropolis.

Discussing the new direction, CEO Mathias Gredal Nørvig said, "At its core, Subway Surfers City is the next chapter of Subway Surfers' nearly 15-year-long legacy."

Here's What You Need To Know:

• Launch & Platforms:
The sequel is a free-to-play title officially launching worldwide on February 26, 2026. Pre-registration is now open on the iOS App Store and Google Play.

• Early Access Rewards:
Players who sign up ahead of the February launch will unlock exclusive in-game rewards, including "early-bird" items credited at launch.

• New Game Modes:
Beyond the Classic Endless run, SYBO is adding two new ways to play:

1. City Tour: A level-based mode with specific missions and objectives.
2. Events: A rotating list of timed challenges and trials.

• One Big Map: The "World Tour" format is gone. At launch, you’ll be able to unlock four distinct areas: The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park.

• New Mechanics: The gameplay is getting a shake-up with a ground stomp for finding hidden items and bouncy bubblegum shield that helps you reach high-altitude shortcuts.
