It was a moment filled with ecstasy and a sense of fulfillment for the political leader of the Tiv People in Lagos Barr. Simon Viashima Akaayar PhD who was recently recognized and awarded by the Mdzough U Tiv, Lagos ( Tiv Community in Lagos) during the just concluded Tiv Cultural Fiesta Lagos 2024, held on the 15th-16th November, 2024 at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.

The President of the Tiv Community in Lagos Hon. Steveterfa Uzer was delighted to invite the Senator Representing Benue North-West at the National Assembly Abuja Sen. Dr. Titus Tartenger Zam who was present at the lovely occasion to do the Community the honor of presenting the award.

In response, the excited recipient expressed his pleasure over the honor and reassured that the award was a call to do more and promised to continue being the bridge to all Tiv Sons and Daughters in Lagos for untoward progress and development of our people in Lagos and beyond.

TIV CULTURAL FIESTA LAGOS 2024; MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK!

As preparations to host the Tiv Cultural Fiesta Lagos 2024 enters top gear we had a chat with the Master mind behind the event, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the Fiesta Hon. Thomas Atondu.

It was an exciting moment and he captured the following;

- He stressed that the fiesta is primarily aimed and bringing Tiv sons and daughters together so as to brainstorm on the way forward for Tiv Nation.
- Foster unity and Brotherhood
- Restore our cultural heritage and take the cling to tradition more seriously
- The event will welcome Tiv people from all works of life.

The Chairman is thankful to all who have rallied around the events planning table to ensure success.
