Last week we talked about talking too much. This week's even more direct: stop explaining yourself to God and start listening to Him.

Job wanted to argue his case. God basically said, "No, actually, I'll ask the questions. You just answer." That's a hard switch for anyone who's used to doing all the talking, in prayer, in worship, even in how we minister.

"You said, 'Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.'" Job 42:4

Maybe this week isn't about saying the right words. Maybe it's about finally going quiet long enough to hear something back.

Job spent chapters arguing God's case to anyone who'd listen.

Defending Him. Explaining Him like he'd figured it all out. Then God actually showed up, and the first thing out of Job's mouth wasn't "I was right." It was "I had no idea what I was talking about."

A lot of us are doing exactly what Job did. Repeating a sermon point. Quoting a verse we've never actually lived through. Talking about a God we've never really sat with long enough to know for ourselves.

"I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me." Job 42:3

Know Him. Don't just quote Him.

Last week we talked about who you are now. New name, new identity, new attitude. But there's a question that comes right after that one: do you know Him, or do you just know things about Him?

Job spent chapters arguing God's case to his friends. Defending Him. Explaining Him like he had it all figured out. Then God showed up, and the first thing out of Job's mouth wasn't "I was right." It was "I had no idea what I was talking about."

A lot of us are doing exactly that. Repeating a sermon point. Quoting a verse we've never actually lived through. Talking about a God we've never really sat with.

Know Him, don't just quote Him. That's the whole week.

Are you visible enough...?

Isaiah 62:2-3 says it's worn openly, not tucked away. Matthew 5:14-16 says a hidden light helps no one, not even you. Psalm 96:3 reminds us your new name was never just for you, it was always meant to be declared.

To the city set on the hill, SHOWN not Hidden. Good Morning

We've spent three weeks on the inside work; a new name, a new identity, a new mind. This week, Isaiah 62:2-3 says it stops staying inside. Nations see it. It's held up like a crown, not kept in a drawer.

Whatever's changed in you this month wasn't meant to stay hidden. Let it show.

Saturday afternoon rehearsal, and you can feel it in the room, this isn't just practice, it's preparation with joy.

Every run-through today is building toward tomorrow. Not stiff, not forced, just a choir that loves being in God's presence before the service even starts.

"Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing." - Psalm 100:2
New name, new seat, and still showing up to rehearse like this? That's an identity working itself out in real time.

Skill can get you through rehearsal. It can't get you through worship.

This week's carousel is for every chorister; Ephesians 4:23 says the mind gets renewed first, before anything comes out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:23 pushes it further: everything you do, do it for Him, not for the applause. And 2 Chronicles 5:13 reminds us what "one sound" actually means — not matching pitch, matching heart.

New attitude in the choir space isn't about new notes. It's about who you're really singing for.

No rush on a Saturday morning, just a question.....

This week we've been sitting with New Identity. Not a new name for show, but a seat God actually gave you inside His house (Isaiah 56:5).

Not an outsider anymore, FAMILY (Ephesians 2:19). CHOSEN, not accidental (1 Peter 2:9).
