📌📌A VERY SHARP UPDATE 📌📌
🚨🎙:JAPAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION IS ABOUT TO CHANGE FOOTBALL LEAGUES FOR GOOD ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
This is awesome.
2026 makes the Japanese football league 100 years old.
And to celebrate it, the are adjusting their football calendar to run from August to May, instead of January to December.
This is aimed at aligning with the European football calendar.
And ultimately, Japan football Federation are making a beautifully cute change to the format of matches in their league which will run from February 2026 to June 2026 in order to fit into the aimed European Football Calendar.
As we know traditionally,
In every league match, any team that wins gets 3 points while the losing team gets zero point.
And where the game ends in a draw, both teams get one point each.
But with Japanese League, this has changed.
Effective this football season in the Japanese league, draws would no more be allowed in league games.
After 90 minutes, if the game is tied in a draw, its penalty shootouts straight.
No 30 minutes extra time.
What this means is that Japanese league games would no more end in a draw.
Furthermore, games that go into penalty shootout only entail that both teams would now be sure of at least one point.
This is how the Points System will be:
Points system:
▪️
The Team that Wins in regular time gets 3 points.
▪️
The Team that Wins on penalties gets 2 points.
▪️
The Team that Loses on penalties gets 1 point.
▪️
The Team that Loses in regular time gets 0 point.
The Advantage of this format is that it would make coaches to become more attack minded in order to avoid playing penalty shootout in every of their league game.
Another advantage i see is that, it would make every team to have fantastic penalty shooters since it can become a possibility in almost every game.
I recommend that Football League, adopts this beautiful format.
It would bring a dramatic end to our league games which some of them end boringly in a 0-0 draw.
Let's adopt this Japanese method please.
