What better way to tell the story of the women who carried us first. Our mothers, our first classroom. 🤍

This piece is lined with hand drawn batik illustration of Ìyá (mother) carrying her child on her back, inspired by my childhood.

And since Mother’s Day just passed, to the women who sat and watched our infant heads. Happy Ìyá’s Day. 👵
